Using HelpDental Assist with Dentally

Assist runs in your browser alongside Dentally, recording the appointment and drafting the clinical note for you to review. You copy the finished note across yourself. Assist never connects to your practice system.

How it works

How it works.

  1. 1Open Assist in a browser tab next to Dentally.
  2. 2Record the appointment, or dictate a summary straight afterwards.
  3. 3Review the drafted note and make any changes.
  4. 4Copy the note and paste it into the patient's clinical notes in Dentally.
Copy format

Which copy format to choose.

Dentally's note editor supports headings and bullet points, so Formatted is the right default for Dentally in Practice setup. If the layout ever doesn't come through on paste, switch to Plain text.

Set it once in Practice setup, under Copy format: Formatted (keeps headings and bullets) or Plain text.
