02Which to pick

When Heidi Health is the better pick

  • You are part of a group that has already chosen Heidi. They announced a two year partnership with PortmanDentex in April 2026.
  • Your practice includes medical or allied health work as well as dentistry and you want one tool across all of it.
  • You want a free tier to sit on indefinitely rather than a trial that ends.
  • You use CareStack or Cliniko and want a real integration.

When Assist is the better pick

  • You want a published price you can decide on without talking to a salesperson.
  • You want dentistry to be the whole product rather than one specialty inside a general platform.
  • You want the note to mark what it assumed and make you confirm it before sign off.

03Questions

Questions about Heidi Health.

How much does Heidi cost in the UK?
They do not publish a figure for the Clinician or Practice plans. Both route to a trial or to sales. There is a free tier with unlimited transcription. Anyone quoting you a Heidi price they did not get from Heidi is guessing, including us, so we have left the number out.
Is Heidi built for dentists?
It has a dental specialty with dental templates and tooth notation, but the platform covers family medicine, mental health, allied health and veterinary work too. Assist only does dentistry.
Does Heidi work with Dentally?
We found no integration claim for Dentally on Heidi’s own pages. The integrations they name are CareStack and Cliniko. For anything else, their described method is copy and paste, which is what Assist does everywhere.
