It's designed by UK dentists using trusted clinical knowledge. We answer common questions, offer guidance on your dental concerns, and help connect you with the right care, whether that's NHS or private.
We built this because too many people struggle to get through to a dentist or spend hours Googling symptoms and ending up more worried than when they started. HelpDental gives you clear, calm answers in seconds.
Meet the Founder
Dr. Tristan Tinn BDS, BSc, PGDip
Tristan is a UK-based dentist with experience across NHS and private practice. Since qualifying in 2018, he's treated thousands of patients with a focus on restorative and aesthetic work, clear aligners, and smile design.
With degrees in Dental Surgery and Biomedical Sciences, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, Tristan combines scientific knowledge with an eye for aesthetics. He's known for his calm, thorough approach and ability to handle complex cases.
Tristan still sees patients clinically as a private dentist at Crossbank Dental Care in Kendal. Outside the clinic, he has a strong interest in healthtech and how technology can genuinely help patients get better access to care.
Our Story
HelpDental started because I kept seeing the same problem in practice: patients who couldn't get through to a dentist, didn't know if their problem was urgent, or had spent days worrying about something that could've been sorted with a quick bit of advice.
The gap between what you can find on Google and what a dentist would actually tell you is massive. I wanted to close that gap with something simple, trustworthy, and free.
I'm also a bit of a tech nerd. I genuinely believe good technology can make healthcare better for everyone, not by replacing clinicians, but by helping patients get the right information at the right time, so that when they do see a dentist, everyone's time is used well.
HelpDental is just the start. There's a lot more we can do to make dental care work better for patients and practices alike.
